Initial Cabin Crew Attestation Training (EASA Certified)

The goal of initial training is to ensure that each trainee acquires the competencies, knowledge and skills required to perform the duties and responsibilities related to the safety of passengers and flight during normal, abnormal and emergency situations. This is accomplished through classroom instruction and computer-based training (CBT) complemented by a series of drills, exercises and hands-on training.

Enrolment requirements

Air Baltic Training CTO requires that each applicant for cabin crew initial training and attestation:

• Has a minimum age not less than 18 years old;
• Holds high school diploma or an equivalent diploma;
• Demonstrates the ability to read, speak, write and understand English language to ensure appropriate communication with both crew members and passengers;
• Demonstrates ability to retrieve safety and emergency equipment and open and close overhead bins on the aircraft, from a standing position;
• Proves ability and strength to operate equipment/systems, as applicable to the operator’s procedures during normal, abnormal and emergency situations and to the aircraft type(s) to which the cabin crew member will be assigned duties;
• Provides evidence of being clear of a criminal record and passing a security background check (Only airBaltic Corporation employed candidates);
• Demonstrates ability to swim without flotation aids.

Air Baltic Training CTO recommends:

Completing medical assessment as defined in Annex IV (Part MED) to Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011, to ensure that applicant is physically and mentally fit to perform his duties and discharge his responsibilities safely;

Consider personal background check requirements established by future employer.

In person (Full course) Hybrid (Abridged Course)

Abridged CC Initial Safety Training course it is adopted for Cabin Crew Members with previous experience, but have absence from Cabin Crew duties for more than 60 months or has been operated as a Cabin Crew in the airlines that do not provide training and checking in accordance with EASA requirements. Abridged syllabus covers the same training elements as full course but is shorter in time.
