Type Rating Instructor (TRI) & SFI Professional Training EASA Part-FCL.930.TRI Compliant | Specialized for the Airbus A220 (BD500)

Technical Course Composition (FCL.930.TRI)

Our syllabus is strictly structured according to Annex I (Part-FCL) requirements, focusing on the competencies required to train pilots in high-fidelity Level D simulators.

Module 1: Teaching & Learning (25 Hours)

Ref: AMC1 FCL.930.TRI Part 1

• Instructional techniques, student evaluation, and the psychology of learning.
• Note: Holders of a valid FI, IRI, or CRI certificate are exempt from this module.

Module 2: Technical Training (10 Hours)

Ref: AMC1 FCL.930.TRI Part 2

  • Deep-dive into A220 systems, performance, and the development of lesson plans for Type Rating and Recurrent training.

Module 3: Flight Instruction (FSTD)

Ref: AMC1 FCL.930.TRI Part 3

  • Minimum 10 hours of flight instruction in the Full Flight Simulator (FFS).
  • Focus on instructor positioning, “Touch Drill” methodology, and CRM/TEM assessment.

 

Important Information: Aircraft Training 

[Special Case Policy]

  • SFI Candidates:Will complete the course entirely in the FSTD.
  • TRI Candidates:Upon successful completion of the FSTD modules and the Assessment of Competence (AoC), the TRI certificate will be issued with a “Restricted to FSTD”
  • Removal of restrictions:The removal of the “FSTD only” restriction (to allow instruction on the aircraft) must be arranged by the candidate’s sponsoring operator on their own aircraft fleet, as per 910.TRI.

Course is designed and approved in accordance to EASA-FCL 1.365 & JAR-FCL 1.410

Course Prerequsites

For TRI (A):

  • min 1500h TT as pilot on multi-pilot aircrafts
  • Valid CPL (A) or ATPL (A) license
  • English: at least ICAO Level 4
  • Completed within the last 12 months at least 30 route sectors, to include take-offs and landings as PIC or Co-pilot on the applicable type, of which not more that 15 sectors in a flight simulator

For SFI (A):

  • min 1500h TT as pilot on multi-pilot aircrafts
  • Valid or expired CPL (A) or ATPL (A) license
  • English: at least ICAO Level 4
  • Completed within the last 12 months Proficiency Check on applicable type flight simulator
  • Completed within the last 12 months at least 2 LOFT based simulator sessions conducted by qualified flight crew as an observer.
