Dangerous Goods Training CBTA function 7.3 for personnel responsible for processing or accepting Dangerous Goods Consignments

Ensure that you know how to read and apply the regulations for the transport of dangerous goods by air. These regulations include legal requirements, operational restrictions, packaging instructions, marking, labeling, and documentation to ensure the safe transportation of these goods. Gain the competencies to accept, handle and process shipments containing dangerous goods according to the current edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) manual. Be informed about latest changes in IATA DGR and industry trends.

Course is performed by IATA certified and Latvian CAA approved instructor with 15-year experience in transport of Dangerous Goods and a member of IATA DG Community. Course program is approved by Latvian CAA.

For Recurrent training, student must hold a valid certificate for Dangerous Goods Regulations Training for Acceptance Personnel or equivalent Category 6. If certificate is older than 24 months or equivalent to other category, please register for Initial training.

What you will learn

Upon completing this course you will have the skills to:

  • Apply IATA’s DGR manual and verify the correctness of dangerous goods transport documents
  • Perform the responsibilities involved in accepting, storing, loading and inspecting dangerous goods
  • Understand the legal responsibilities involved with the transportation of dangerous good

Certification

Upon successful completion of exam, the student will receive certificate for personnel as per IATA CBTA function 7.3, approved by CAA and valid for 24 months.

  • Loading, storage and inspection and emergency procedures
  • Air waybill, Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods, and Notification to Captain
  • Shipment of Lithium batteries
