Type Rating Instructor (TRI/SFI) Training
The course is designed to give adequate training in theoretical knowledge instruction, flight instruction and synthetic flight instruction in order to become qualified as Type Rating Instructor (TRI (A)) or Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI (A)).
Module 1: Theoretical Training (both for TRI (A) and SFI (A))
Theoretical Training Module is not type-related and may serve as a stand-alone course for Ground Instructors of FTOâs / TRTOâs / Airline Operators.
Theoretical Part consists of Teaching and Learning ground training in accordance with AMC FCL 1.365, Part 1.
Teaching and learning processes are taught in classroom sessions by means of lecture, discussion and exercises.Â
Duration:Â 3 days (25 hours)
Module 2: Synthetic Flight Training (both for TRI (A) and SFI (A))
Training syllabus is in accordance with AMC FCL 1.365, Part 2.
Training is conducted on the same type of synthetic flight training device as the type on which applicant wishes to instruct.
- Session 1 (2 hours): Operating as PF from the Right Seat;
- Session 2 (4 hours): Observing session during Type rating Course;
- Session 3 (4 hours): Conducting Type Rating session with assistance;
- Session 4 (4 hours): Duty of SFI/TRI during Type Rating session under supervision.
Duration:Â 5-6 days
Module 3: Aircraft Trainings (only for TRI (A))
Aircraft Training is conducted on the same type of aeroplane. Training consists of number of Touch and Go landings and at least one full stop
Duration:Â 1 hours + briefings
Course is designed and approved in accordance to EASA-FCL 1.365 & JAR-FCL 1.410
Course Prerequsites
For TRI (A):
- min 1500h TT as pilot on multi-pilot aircrafts
- Valid CPL (A) or ATPL (A) license
- English: at least ICAO Level 4
- Completed within the last 12 months at least 30 route sectors, to include take-offs and landings as PIC or Co-pilot on the applicable type, of which not more that 15 sectors in a flight simulator
For SFI (A):
- min 1500h TT as pilot on multi-pilot aircrafts
- Valid or expired CPL (A) or ATPL (A) license
- English: at least ICAO Level 4
- Completed within the last 12 months Proficiency Check on applicable type flight simulator
- Completed within the last 12 months at least 2 LOFT based simulator sessions conducted by qualified flight crew as an observer.
